"Monte" — Salinas, CA

"This is Monte. He is a cross between a Lab and a McNab. Monte has created a game over the past few years.

• Bark at the birds perched on the roof
• When one takes off, do a few laps around the back yard, come back
• Start all over again when the next bird takes off

We had a lot of rain this year, and as a result, weeds started growing in our rain gutters. So now Monte stares up at the weeds, wags his tail, barks…and waits. He will start to run around the yard but then seems to be confused that not one 'bird' has taken flight."
